Thanksgiving dinner is just around the corner and can someone tell me how that happened? Time is FLYING this year.
Here to help you prep, we're coming up with a few cuteee and fairly inexpensive ideas to make your table feel festive for this grateful occasion. BONUS- we have a craft to keep the kids busy while you finish your last minute cooking and running around.
Let's start at Target. Who doesn't love a good Target trip? Grab two of these glass cylinder vases, they're on sale for less than $5 a piece! Then get a pack of two scentless candles, no need for the scent when you've got that delicious cooking going on. And you may have this at home but if not just grab the cheapest option of popcorn kernels. Run to Michaels, Joanns or Hobby Lobby for some twine or fall festive ribbon to finish it off. Our goal here is to have these two simple candles for the center of your table.
There are handful of different options for these mini-fake pumpkins! You can get them in plaid, solid colors, velvet, glitter or tweed. Pick your favorite! I'd grab two sets, which is only approximately $10 for like 16 mini-pumpkins.
Now all we need is a table runner to finish this off. Amazon has a TON of different styles, prints and price options. I like this fall plaid runner and this adorable farmhouse style runner that can actually be used year round. Then use your pumpkins to line them up along the table runner and put the two sets of candle vases in between. You can add greenery, more single candles, whatever tickles your fancy.
The ultimate goal is to have a finished product for approximately $40 total! If you style the right way, you can re-use several of these new items for numerous occasions. I still have my mini-fake pumpkins from TWO years ago and use them every fall. Re-use and recycle, that's key!
Send us your finished table scapes, we'd love to see what you came up with.
BONUS: Easy craft to keep the kids busy until the food is ready! Pre cut construction paper, have a handful of paper plates for the kiddos to color, start saving your empty toilet paper rolls, give them some markers and glue sticks. Have your kids write on each feather what they're thankful for.
Enjoy your thanksgiving, your family and your friends. <3
